Roberts Enters GPC

Next driver to confirm his participation for Gulf ProCar 2023/24 season is Ian Roberts with his Praga R1.

Ian is no stranger to the UAE car racing community after participating for years successfully in the Gulf Radical Cup, a championship also organised by GulfSport Racing.

Announcing his intention to enter the full season is a confirmation that his racing programme keeps evolving.

Ian commented:

“To be honest when we entered this new adventure I didn’t really know what to expect. Firstly, it is a very demanding car to drive so there is the physical challenge. It is true that we had some technical gremlins leading to some disappointments but I feel we developed with Dragon Racing the car to a level where we liked her to be although we are realistic more must be done. But the current situation led us to the decision to race the full programme in Gulf ProCar. I hope more Praga drivers can be convinced to enter and join Gulf ProCar because it is a perfect platform for this kind of cars. Also we can’t forget about the great circuits we have in the UAE and the good weather is also a big benefit.”

First race on the season is scheduled for 28 October and leading to the opening round are two scheduled test days on 10 October at Yas Marina Circuit and 19 October at Dubai Autodrome.
